Seven-times Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher had agreed to a three year contract which reportedly costs £6.2m with Mercedes Grand Prix. He will be reunite Ross Brawn and partner with Nico Rosberg, who is also from Germany in Mercedes F1 team which is the defending constructors' champion 2009.
The 2010 Formula 1 will be an exciting year for Formula 1 fans as everything are shuffled: BMW left, Lotus in, Mercedes' takeover, Button to Mclaren, Alonso to Ferrari, etc. Of course the most interesting prospect is the clash between the champions' drivers like Michael Schumacher (7 World Champions), Jensen Button (2009 World Champion), Lewis Hamilton (2008 World Champion) and Fernando Alonso (2 World Champions).
But Schumacher will turn 41 years old next month and has just recovered from a broken neck. His last race was in 2006, Formula 1 race has been difficult during his absence. The cars and drivers also become more competitive nowadays which doubts me Schumacher's reign will rise again. Anyway, I believe Schumacher is still good enough to race, although he is not at the peak of the race like the old days.
