Robbie Keane has never been afraid to speak out his mind. So after the controversial goal by Thierry Henry which ends Ireland's World Cup hopes in match between France and Ireland, it's not surprise he lambasted FIFA president Sepp Blatter and UEFA president Michel Platini on BBC Radio Five Live that they want big teams in World Cup:
"Of course it is an easy decision to do the seedings,"
"They're all probably clapping hands, Platini sitting up there on the phone to Sepp Blatter, probably texting each other, delighted with the result, with France."
On Thierry Henry's handball:
"He (Henry) nearly caught it, so it’s a bit of a killer. When you see the reaction of the players, Shay (Given) especially, he’s two yards away from it. You don’t get a reaction like that if he’s not sure it’s a handball. He almost caught it and ran into the net with it."
On FIFA:
"Germany had a chance of being in the (play-offs) as well. With two massive countries, there's no way in a million years is there going to be fair draw."
I wonder FIFA and UEFA will turn a blind eye on Keane's comments as the FIFA have ruled out a replay match between France and Ireland because of controversial goal.
